Where to begin? Everybody's favourite Pikachu impersonator tilts its head, simultaneously inviting and disturbing the collector. We don't know whether to hug Mimikyu, or stay away. Regardless, Mimikyu Delta Species (SWSH136) looks great in any collection.
Delta species cards first appeared in 2005's Pokemon TCG EX Delta Species. The set featured such cards as Dragonite Delta Species (3/113), and Espeon Delta Species (4/113). Perhaps overshadowed by Gold Star cards, Delta Species cards have remained popular since their release.
Mimikyu Delta Species (SWSH136) is a homage to this era of the Pokemon TCG. Hasuno uses vibrant colour contrasted against heavy shadows to hint at Mimikyu's fractured identity and persona. Crystals glitter, trees tower, and Mimikyu glares. Altogether, the card proves an impressive promo card from the Sword and Shield: Celebrations set. Shop for your copy here.
Mimikyu Delta Species (SWSH136) is one of our favourite underrated Sword and Shield era promo cards. It looks great online, and even better in person.
