Gengar has been a staple of the Pokemon TCG since the release of Fossil in 1999. A fan favourite, there are few Pokemon who compare to this ghastly apparition in pure popularity.
With the release of the Pokemon Sword and Shield video games in 2019, and the advent of Dynamax Pokemon, the Pokemon TCG introduced VMAX Cards. These cards featured variations on traditional designs like that of Gengar.
Gengar VMAX (Fusion Strike: 157/264) features a monstrous depiction of Gengar, mouth agape, tongue flexing, by 5ban Graphics. For those unaware, 5ban Graphics is responsible for the artwork on the infamous Charizard V (Champion's Path: 79/73). Gengar VMAX (Fusion Strike: 157/264) is a grisly reminder of Pokemon's darker side, and a personal favourite of us at Kyral Collectables.
